This page explains what happens with information when you use timezone-map.com. Short version: you do not need an account, and I do not ask for a name or phone number to use the tools. Like most free websites, the site still uses some standard tech for running the site, measuring traffic, and showing ads.
1. No accounts
There is no sign-up, login, or user profile on this site. You can use the country time zone pages, World Meeting Planner, Time Zone Converter, Flight Time Calculator (U.S. Multi-Layover Reminder), and Calculate Days without creating an account.
If you email [email protected], I will see whatever you put in that message so I can reply.
2. What information shows up when you visit
I do not ask you to fill out a personal profile. When you open a page, some basic technical information is handled automatically:
- Server logs — things like browser type and when a page was requested, used to keep the site running and fix problems
- Analytics tools — see section 4
- Ads — see section 5
- Settings on your device — some pages remember clock format (AM/PM vs 24-hour) in your browser’s local storage. That stays on your device; it is not an account on my servers
If you share a Flight Time Calculator itinerary link, the trip details are built into the link itself so someone else can open the same map. You do not need an account for that, and I do not keep a saved itinerary account for you.
3. Cookies
Because there are no accounts, this site’s own code does not use cookies to keep you logged in. Third-party tools below (Google Analytics, Clarity, and ads) may set their own cookies under their own rules. Plausible Analytics does not use cookies (see section 4).
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you Accept or Reject non-essential cookies for Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and advertising. Until you accept, Google advertising/analytics storage stays denied (Consent Mode v2, including explicit defaults for EEA/UK/CH regions), and Microsoft Clarity does not load. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (not as a server-side account) so the banner can remember Accept or Reject on later visits. You can change your choice later with the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
4. Analytics (how I see what pages get used)
To understand traffic and improve the site, I use:
- Google Analytics — overall site usage (cookie-based; gated by the consent banner)
- Plausible Analytics — simpler traffic stats. It is cookieless and privacy-oriented. The Plausible script can load without waiting for the cookie banner, because it does not set advertising or analytics cookies on your device
- Microsoft Clarity — helps spot confusing pages or layout issues (loads only after you Accept)
Google Analytics and Clarity may see things like which pages you visit, rough location from IP, and device/browser info when consent allows them. Plausible focuses on aggregate page views without cookies. Each company has its own privacy policy. You can look them up for more detail and any opt-out options your browser supports.
5. Ads (Google AdSense)
This free site is set up to show ads through Google AdSense when advertising is enabled. Ad slots are not shown on pages until ads are turned on for the site. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar tools to show and measure ads, including ads based on sites you have visited before, when that is allowed by your consent choice and applicable law.

Use this site’s cookie banner (or the footer Cookie settings link) to accept or reject Google Analytics, Clarity, and advertising cookies. If you reject, I keep those Google consent signals denied so personalized ads and analytics cookies are not enabled by this site’s Google/Clarity scripts. Plausible may still run as described above. Google may still apply its own rules where required by law.
6. California residents
I do not sell your personal information for money, and I do not keep user accounts or personal profiles on this site. Ad partners like Google may still use cookies for interest-based ads. If you live in California, you can limit personalized ads in Google Ads Settings and your browser settings. Use any “Do Not Sell or Share” style controls Google offers for publishers when those apply here.
7. Security
The site uses HTTPS. I take ordinary care to protect the servers and logs for a small informational site. No website is perfectly secure.
8. Links and other companies
You may see ads or links that go to other websites. I do not control those sites. Their privacy rules are their own.
9. Kids
This is a general time tool for everyone. It is not aimed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect kids’ personal information through sign-up, because there is no sign-up.
10. Changes to this page
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I change the date at the bottom. If you keep using the site after an update, that means you accept the new version.
